Tania & Gem June 05'
Tania & Gem Were married this June in a two part ceremony. The first half was a simple Quaker meeting, where Tania wore the Dragonfly corset with the straight skirt, then in the second half, they arrived as a couple on their boat on the canal, with the whole event having a watery /pirate theme. The dress was an elaboration of the Dragonfly design, but with embroidered fish & sea weed going around the hem of the skirt, and an overlay of beautifully two tone silk chiffon, this represented the water going over the fish, the chiffon was then decorated with crystals and sequins to represent the bubbles.
'Just got back from honeymoon and I just wanted to thank you in writing for my amazing wedding dress. I have had a reputation all my life for, well, wearing some fairly interesting clothes and I suppose that I felt that I wanted my wedding day to reflect that.'
'The dress that you made surpassed all my expectations. It not only expressed my personality perfectly, it also made me look amazing. I’ve lost count of the times that people have said that I looked like a princess. Ok, it may be a cliché but it’s a good cliché. I think I looked like a damn stylish one too! ;-)'
It was simply the most beautiful dress that I’ve ever seen, let alone worn. I really can look back on my wedding and think, yes, that was the ultimate dress. I have dedicated an unreasonable amount of time in my life to fancy dress and when I was younger used to hold that life was a fancy dress party and that other people just hadn’t got their invitations yet, so coming from me this is some accolade.
It was just exquisite. The embroidery was lovely, the diamante was perfect, the corset was a perfect fit (and with a 32 F bust that takes some engineering). The jewellery was beautiful and the wirework dragonflies looked wonderful.
