Sally, Fire- July 07'.
Sally had an original design inspired by her theme of fire and flames.
Red and orange silks were used to represent different colours of the fire, with copper and red flame embroidery and swarovski on the centre of the corset. Textured pieces of fabrics were applied down the corset seams and hangs down the skirt to give it movement. The sleeves were double, with an inner fitted sleeve in red, with a tie up cuff, going over the wrist into a point, with flame embroidery and crystals, then a flowing medieval style over sleeve in orange.

'We did it! And it was fabulous! The day went perfectly, we had a wonderful
moving humanist ceremony which was held outside. Guests loved the sword fighting,
the banquet was delicious, the jester hilarious, and the ska band went down
really well!
I remember coming around the corner and seeing all the guests and Dod waiting
there for me, and hearing an 'oooh' when they saw me. I had so many compliments
all day at how beautiful my dress was, I felt like a real princess. One commented
that it looked like fire, so I was very proud to tell that it was supposed
to! One guest spoke to me a few times over the evening but was so taken with
my appearance that all she said each time was "your dress is amazing!".

'Thank you so much Janice, you are a very talented and wonderful person.
As you know I had an internal struggle to justify the cost of one of your
creations, and I am eternally thankful that the dress won. It fitted amazingly,
looked out of this world, and you brought to life something I dreamed of for
so long. I am thrilled with the way I looked on day, nothing else would have
come close. People comment on it still when they see photos, and even those
who balked at the price are now saying what a fantastic choice it was. As
one of your brides said before "beauty lasts long after price is forgotten"
it is so true, and I now own a saught after 'Janice Whitehorn' which I will
find an excuse to wear in it's various forms for many years to come.'
