This was the last Uptight wedding for 2007. A big thank you to all Uptight Brides for whom I have had the pleasure of working with this year. I wish you all seasons greetings, and long, happy marriages.
Already into next years gowns, with one completed that will be going to a glacier in New Zealand, and other lovelies to come up on the site in the new year...
Lydia had an original design inspired by a combination of Uptight gowns. It consisted of a corset in an Icy blue silk, with full ball gown skirt with long train in the same silk, with a bolero jacket made of hand dyed stretch silk chiffon, with bound edges in the dress fabric to pull them both together.
'I really wanted to thank you for all your hard work and patience. I know
my indecisiveness can be more than a little frustrating! I knew when I first
came to meet you way back when I was at university that I would one day want
you to make my dress, and it was absolutely perfect and everything I had hoped
for! Everyone who sees pictures comments on the beautiful colour so I am so
glad I eventually settled on that one! I also need to say a big thank you
for coming and 'strapping me in' on the day, I was far more relaxed than thought
I would be even after having a horrid cold for 3 days leading up to the wedding!
I know I will look back at pictures of the dress and remember how fantastic
it felt to wear it! All I am hoping for now is that I will find an excuse
to wear it again, although possibly after the bump has disappeared!!
I still keep popping back to the website to check on your beautiful creations,
and I hope that everything goes from strength to strength for you as you are
a truly gifted person who deserves great things!
