Aletta- 2003.

Alettas gown consisted of many pieces, there is a corset and net petticoat foundation, then the pale yellow dress, then over that, this stunning Organza coat was worn. Many hours of painstaking applique was used to get the silk duchess satin round the edges, with its delicate yet definite structure of the shoulder epaulets and collar. The theme of the wedding was water, the ensemble was originally designed by Alettas mother a stained glass artist, and after lengthy conversations and designs begin posted to and from.. the final design made up even better than expected. Even the shoes, veil and necklace were made by Uptight Clothing, the fresh flower headdress was made by local florist.

'I wanted to thank you so much for helping make my day perfect. people have asked me what i would have changed looking back and i can honestly say nothing. the dress was the best bit, along with the location of the reception (I was really sorry that you both didn't come along after i was really looking forward to being able to say "and this is Janice who made 'the dress'!") from our first tentative phone conversation where i tried to explain the ideas of a dress i didn't really understand myself, to the finished version I couldn't have imagined such a wonderful creation thank you.

' also owe you an enormous thank you for all your support on the day itself, with out you i would have gone mad! that morning was so busy; there were so many people from when i got up every time i went into an 'empty' room there would be some more people there doing something of other but all busy and i really valued your attention and help dressing! i literally couldn't have managed it on my own and with the makeup too.
