This was one of Uptight's first photo shoots, with Paul Adam, pictured below lifting up the lovely shelly, the original face of Uptight Clothing.
Its now February 2008, and after a very hectic few years, we are just going thought some old photos, taken back at the beginning
Although Janice was making corsets for customers back in 1999, it was not until 2001 that she was able to give up working in the theatre full time to concentrate full on making solely corseted bridal gowns. These were the first.
Things have come a long way since then, with the thanks to many fantastic clients through the years, allowing Uptight to keep being creative, you have made it a joy ( most of the time! ;) to work for. We hope Uptight can keep making many more brides feel special and gorgeously very much themselves on their big day!
These were the first samples made to test the water, as it were, in fact this plain corset and fishtale skirt was the inspiration behind the Aphrodite design, of which the shape was the same, but with a bit more funding after the business had started taking off.
A big thank you goes to all who have helped Janice along the way, from photographing, modeling and general knowledge, support and guidance.
The Wiggins family, who have helped from the start, David Wiggins, who deigned the Logo, and done numerous art work and photography, Sarah and Sami Wiggins who have modeled for shows and on location. And the rest of the clan who are always there for help and encouragement.
All, models, whom the corset would be soulless without.
Janice's family, who have always given their full support in every way, especially those who have passed away in the past two years, Grandma, Gramps and Joy. We miss you.
And lastly to my husband Gary, for whom without it would all be pointless. I love you.
